On Thursday, 22 June 2023, Pusara Aman Mosque organised a visit to NKF Dialysis Centre located at 55 Strathmore Avenue. The dialysis centre holds one dialysis machine sponsored by the mosque to be used by kidney patients.

During the visit, the visitors from the mosque were given a tour around the dialysis centre where they could see and interact with patients and briefed on the functions of the dialysis machines.

There was also an interactive discussion between the visitors and the host that focuses on how the mosque sector can come forward to collaborate with NKF in reaching out to educate the muslim community on the prevention of kidney disease.

Learning that on the national average, 30% of kidney patients that need dialysis treatment are Muslims, Pusara Aman Mosque concurs that social education on preventive measures is one of the effective approach to bring down the number of patients among the Muslim community. We believe that prevention is better than cure.

Pusara Aman Mosque is proud to have sponsored two dialysis machines that serve the needs of kidney patients in the community. One machine is at NKF Dialysis Centre at 55 Strathmore Avenue and another at 940 Jurong West Street 91.

We hope to be able to continue working closely with @nkfsg to raise awareness and educate our Muslim community on the importance of preventive measures against kidney disease. This is part of our efforts to promote the mosque sector as an inclusive society.
